What I was doing 10 years ago? - Well, I was 19, and living in orem with two roomates, (Nicole and Kellie) I was working as a wedding coordinator at Thanksgiving Point. My life pretty much consisted of Wake up, go to the gym (woohoo for Lifestyles!) Go to work, come home, get ready to go somewhere exciting (like, "club Omni" OK...you can stop laughing now.) stay out till the wee hours of daylight, come home Crash, and do it all-over again! At this point 10 years ago from now, Russ and I weren't dating yet, but we have been married 10 years this September. Sounds a little fishy right? Well, we didn't start dating till the Middle of July, got engaged in August, and Married September 5th! (we were REALLY excited!)



5 years ago? - We were living in Orem, Milo was 11 months old, and life was pretty boring? I think, Russ was working for Lowry Doors and we were getting ready to move to Las Vegas where Russ would work with Pulte Homes. We were just your typical first time parents who were "blessed" with a sweet little baby that threw-up at least 4 times a day (like, not spit-up. I'm talking, out of the nose, projectile vomiting!) and had 12 ear infections by this time in life! yes, life was good.

1 year ago? - We were living in Pleasant Grove, in our first official townhome. I had just barely found out that the in-vitro was a success and was pregnant with little August! So, I was pretty much worthless at this point of life, I had "hyperstimulated" due to all the in-vitro drugs, and so I was on "bed rest" for a couple weeks. Russ was such a good sport, having to give me progesterone shots twice a day for the 8 weeks following the embryo transfer. But it was all worth it!.

Yesterday? - Got up around 7:30, got ready while Auggie took a morning nap, Went to the park with Nicole and the kids, went back to Nic's and had her do "glitter toes" on me, went home, ordered Pizza, put the kids to bed while Russ went to a meeting, and did bows till I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore! the end.

5 Favorite Snacks? - Apples (but they have to be Fuji Apples), Oranges, Saltine Crackers, Mint Truffles and last but defiantly not least, Chocolate Cake from Maglebys!

5 Favorite Books? - Twilight Series of course... But I'm not a big reader, I'm a sucker the Martha Stewart magazines!

5 Places to Runaway? - Hawaii (Sunset Beach), Target (with no kids or husband), In my car all by myself with the top down in a sunny day, Sleeping, and did I mention Hawaii? yes Hawaii.

5 Bad Habits? - Texting while driving, getting angry at Milo for lame things (like walking on a perfectly lined vacuumed carpet!) never eating breakfast, Worrying about things that are out of my control, clinching my teeth when I am angry or excited. I'm sure Russ could name a few more but I will stop for now!

5 Things I would Never wear? - Hmmm, this is a toughie, it is hard to say what I NEVER would wear, because looking back in life I have worn alot of pretty weird things! So I guess you could say I just might give anything a try, except maybe a shaved head. ( I just don't think i have the right head shape....I'm not Brittney Spears you know.)

5 Pet Peeves? - First and most important WHISTLING!!! I cant stand it! I don't know what it is but the pitch of it just makes me want to scream! and the worst part is, I live with a whistler! Russ is always whistling, and not only a casual whistle, but he feels the need to add vibrato and harmonizing tones to his whistling! it drives me crazy! OK. I will try to calm down. What else... Forgetting something at home when I am half-way to my destination. People who get totally ready to go to the gym. Someone not answering their phone when I call. (I am the worst at that, but it really makes me bugged when I am the one trying to call....anne.) People who don't update their blogs! (chely)

5 Things I Enjoy? - Sleeping children. My Husband (even though he does whistle the Star Wars theme on a daily basis) Eating. Sleeping. Summertime!

Flashback Friday...Toilet-Papering.

{Don't act all surprised, Everybody has done it before!}

I wish I had a picture for this flashback, But this picture in my memory will have to do...

The year was 1994. I was in 9th grade. All names will be changed to protect any who wish not to be linked back to this random act of misbehavior. So we were having a sleepover at my friend "Emma's" house. I think their were about 4 of us? We decided that it would be fun to go "toilet-papering" that evening, we had no specific house in mind, we just thought we would find one that wouldn't make it too challenging, but would cure our itch for a little trouble. Well in order for us to successfully make it out of the house without getting caught (like her parents had no idea what was going down.) We decided to take the rolls of toilet paper and shove them down the legs of our PJ's. So here we are talking a innocent midnight stroll with toilet paper down our pants! I think I had a total of 5 rolls (I was a little uneven) well as we were walking and scouting out our options we would do the classic duck-n-hide when we would hear a car come, the rolls down our pants made it a little more challenging to be quick on our feet. Well this one time a car came, and I don't know why but I didn't seem to hear it or get the heads-up? So all of a sudden my friends start RUNNING! I took a quick glance back to see what the commotion was all about, and there I see it...THE POLICE! my heart just dropped! I majorly started to panic, and since I had a late start, all my friends were already over a fence and long gone! I just froze. I WAS BUSTED! The police officers get out of their car and start questioning me on what exactly I was doing out alone at midnight! Well in a panic...I LIED! I made up this big story of how we were just taking a walk and we really didn't mean any harm, and that my friends mom told us we could. So they told me to get in the car and they would take me back to my friends house! their was one slight problem with that. I had never been to "Emma's" house before so I had NO idea where it was! but in fact this little dilemma actually helped me in my big fat lie, you see, while I was trying to explain to them what the house looked like and where I thought it was, it was buying me time to take out the rolls of toilet paper, and STUFF THEM UNDER THE FRONT SEAT OF THE POLICE CAR! yep, that's right. I managed to stuff 5 rolls of toilet paper under the seat of a POLICE car! So after about 10 minutes of driving around (which felt like 10 hours!) we found the house! and when we pulled up I could see all my friends little faces peeking through the window! The police escorted me to the front door where "Emma's" mom was super-cool and went along with the whole story that we were just taking a midnight walk to calm down for the evening! And she never even called my mom like the police officer told her to do. Come to think about it, I don't think I ever told my mom? oops. To late now...Sorry mom!

Friends, Fun in the Sun and, Last Days of School...

Here is Milo and Swayze at the Walk-a-thon. Milo had so much fun, and he just kept a slow steady jog through the entire race. He was soo tired afterwards, I was so proud of him!

For the School Dance Festival Milo's class did the Chicken Dance. It was so Cute! they all made their own little chicken hats to wear, Milo said he made his have evil eyes, and a mustache? what a weirdo! This is a picture of Him and Swayze with their teacher Mrs. Richey, Milo LOVES his teacher! On the night before the last day of school, he decided that he wanted to make her a bracelet. So he made the bracelet, and after he was done I suggested to him, that he write her a letter to tell her why he made it for her. Well it all started out fine, but when I asked him what he wanted to tell her, he just burst out into tears!!!! "I am going to miss her!!!" he was so sad! so I tried to console him, and he finally, after much tourment, came up with this sweet little note...

Milo's Job

One of Milo's jobs around the house is to help load the dishwasher. Well his favorite thing about loading the dishwasher, is putting the soap in. I usually help him load it, then I go off and do something else while he finishes and puts the soap in, Well for some reason today I was rinsing off a few things at the sink and when I looked down this is what I saw...

The stuff was just oozing out! he even had allready shut it once and decided that it was'nt quite enough, so he opened it again and put MORE in!

As you can tell by the look on his face, he was a little shocked when he heard the camera snap a picture, after that our conversation went a little something like this...

Me: MILO! What are you doing?!

Milo: What! (kind of like he was surprised I had to ask)

Me: Why are you putting so much soap in there?

Milo: This is how much I always put in!

Me: Uhgggg! (while gritting my teeth in maddness)

Milo: Mom, dont you ever wonder how the dishes are so shiny? (while gesturing down to the overflowing soap)

And all this time i just thought we had a really nice dishwasher....looks like we do...Milo.

Flashback Friday...Birthday Style.

So last Friday was my Birthday, So I decided to dedicate this Friday to a little "birthday flashback" and do a little remenising of past Birthdays. It was really challenging to locate all these pictures! But I found as many as I could, and it turned out to be quite the collection, so hold on! This could take a while!

Here we are... this is my 5 year old birthday! I am the only one NOT looking at the camera, but looking like I am having a super fun time! (I'm sure Anne, -my sister in the front- is going to love this picture!)

7 years old- I remember I got this little birthstone ring that I thought was the finest gift a girl could have! Just look at Chely with her red Kool-aid Stach eye-ing it!

Ok, So you cant see in this picture, But that great big smile on my face is'nt because of my super cool hair and oufit!, it is because I had received my very first OWN bike! It was a purple bannana seat bike with Unicorns and rainbows! ahhh, I loved that Bike! and dont be laughin' at the teeth! That is a whole other blog in itself!

Jump forward now to 1998. This is Me, Kellie and Nicole. this is the birthday before I got married, while me Nic, and kellie were all roomates....good times.

This is in 2001, at a little Birthday get-together with Ben & Ladonna and Matt & Alissa Ward, while we were out at BYU Hawaii, Alissa had made me a heavenly cheescake! (dont ask me what Matt was doing in this picture? I wouldnt expect any less!)

These next two picture really make me laugh, The First one is 2002, and the next one is 2003. And, If you havent allready noticed, I am wearing the SAME shirt (how embarassing!) I think the reason it is most embarassing is... in the first picture I am 7 Months pregnant! and in the second one, Milo is 10 months old! Lets just say, I had a little bit of a hard time losing that "baby weight". The other thing that makes me chuckle when I look at the second one is Russ' face, it looks like he is trying to help me blow out the candles! too funny.

This is the last, and I think this is my Most favorite! This was just last year, and so much was going on, I was going through in-vitro and had just had the Embryo's transffered that day! (that is why I am lying in bed and looking a little groggy) it's kind of hard to tell, but that little picture that Milo is holding is the picture of the two little embryos that they put back in that day. and Just two weeks later I received one of the best presents ever...It worked! Another favorite in this picture is The Cake! Milo had Totally decorated it all by himself! it had no frosting, little pile's of sprinkles sparatically placed on top, a heart-shaped mint pattie in the middle, and two random candles (that I think came out of our 72 hour kits :)) he was so proud!

Well I hope I have many more spectacular Birthdays to come! yah me!

Mothers Day Weekend...Woo Hooo!

This weekend started out with a fun girls night on Friday night with Nicky. We went to Thanksgiving Point for a nice romantical dinner for two, then went and had pedicure's. It is always so much fun to get out without the kids. The best part about this picture is how it was taken, as we were driving home, I remembered that I had my camera, and we had'nt taken any pictures of our "date" So when we got back to Nicoles, we asked her babysitter if she would take a picture of us? She looked at us like we were CRAZY! And now as I think about it, we kind of are. We dont think we are that old, but she probaly looks at us like we are old haggard mothers! o-well, We had fun, and thats all that matters right?

Next, Sweet little Milo went into our backyard, which consists of weeds and dirt, and picked me this beautiful bunch of "flowers" it was so cute, he was so excited that we had "flowers" growing in our backyard!

This is a Cute little plate that Milo made in his Kindergarten class, for Mothers Day! Flowers are some of his favorite things to draw.

Then we have "the cake" So Milo and I have been quite entertained latley, by watching "Ace of Cakes" on the Food Network channel. One day while watching, Milo said, "Mom, do you think you could decorate a cake?" Well i took this as a challenge. Of course I can decorate a cake!...Right? Well lets just say, it's not as easy as they make it seem. I did'nt have all the right "equipment" so in order for me to make a 3 teired round cake, I used to round cake pans (for the bottom layer) and then I used a cookie sheet for the rest, which meant I had to cut out 5 layers of cake to make the to 2 teirs! And then put them all together!! Let's just say, I dont think I will be doing that again for a long time. (Milo helped on the design process, if you cant tell by all the flowers and bows.)

And of course what would Mothers Day be, without the crazy mom shuffle. We enjoyed a little time at the Lowrys and a little time with my side. We Love All the "Moms" in our life, and I'm glad that we have a whole day just for Moms!

9th Grade Night Dance!

I just couldnt resist! once I came accross this picture, a flood of memories came to me! So... Im pretty sure this was kind of a big deal. It was like the final chapter to Jr. High, it was a glimpse of times to come for High School! I can remember going to find a dress to wear (which by the way, in case you didnt notice, me and alisa thought it would be fun to get the same dress! And i am pretty sure Amanda and Sommer have the same dress too...right?) But, I really cant remember anything much that went on at the dance, besides being totally mortified to dance with BOYS! But looking at this picture and seeing all theese old friends just brings a smile to my face! ahhh....good times.

And what kind of flashback would this be without a little "Boyz To Men"

(I still get this nervous feeling when I hear this song, and think of all the awkwardness that comes while dancing at the school dances!)

4 Months Old!

Auggie turned 4 Months! yesterday. I cant believe how fast he is growing! He weighs a whoping 14 Pounds! He really is so much fun, and is a really great sleeper!

I have tried and tried to get his sweet little smile on camera, but he is really stubborn! he dosent just hand out smiles to anyone. Just look at all those little folds of chub, dont you just want to squish him?

His latest and greatest fascination is SUCKING HIS HANDS! he cannot get enough of those chubby little fingers! He even sucks and chews them so much that his little hands are all chapped and red from all the suckage! We Love Auggie!!!

And of course...... how could we forget, Milo is 69 months old!

Flashback Friday (just a little behind!)

Ok, Ok, you can stop laughing now! I guarantee at least half of the people reading this blog have a picture like this! So if you cant tell, this flashback is dedicated to the good ol' "Glamour Shots" And if you are wondering, this was taken back in 1992! When Milo saw this he asked "mom, is this your wedding day?" I was only 12! years old! Why I felt the need to get all glammed up to look like a 30 year old soap opera star is beyond me! here's a few questions i have while looking at this photo: Why Green? and What is that thing anyway? if I remember right, it was just a bunch of random fabric bunched all up around me to look like some fancy Scarlet O'Hare get-up?

So Far, So Good...

So I decided that it was time to get August out of his bassinet in our room, and into a crib (all the way up-stairs!) I have been dreading it since he was born because Milo was such a horrible sleeper (and still is...thats a whole other story!) So on Monday we made the big switch. And to my suprise, He slept through the WHOLE night! I dont just mean 8 hours. I'm talkin' from 8:30pm to 6:30am! thats 10 hours! so I thought, well beginners luck, right? Well he did it again last night! and he even got up at 6:30 ate for about 10 minutes and went back to sleep till 8:00!!!! Now, I'm not saying this to brag, because i have payed my dues with Milo, BUT WOOOHOOO! Let's just hope he can keep this up!

Ok....SCARY! So I was thuming through some old pics and came accross this! Summer is going to kill me! So, here's the story behind this..... For some reason we thought it would be funny to dress up like "gangstas" and go to the mall? let's just say, we got the weirdest looks! I cannot beleive we left the house like this! could you imagine letting YOUR children do something like this!? Nowadays we probaly would have been beat or killed! But I guess that is what being young is all about right?...doing weird things, to make your parents embarassed!

Auggie's Blessing Day

Today we blessed Auggie. It was such an awesome experience, Jeff said that while they were giving him the blessing, he peeked his eyes open and looked at August, and he said he was just smiling so big! he held so still the whole time! He is such a sweet little boy.

And of course, I was so wrapped up in preparing all the food, that I didnt grab my camera out until the very end! And when I did poor Auggie was so exhausted that he didnt want anyone else to hold him! So here are just a fes pictures of August's special day!

Mmmm! Blue Frosting?

Today was Milo's kindergarten teachers Birthday, so he wanted to make her cupcakes. Well he found out that her favorite color was blue so...Blue Frosting! I tried really hard to convince him otherwise, but he had his mind set that she would love blue frosting! Poor teacher! I'm sure she wil end up with lots of "fun" Kindergarten gifts today! despite the blue, they were actually pretty good!

3 Months Old!

3 Months Old, and just look at the size of that head! poor kid, he's doing all he can to try and keep that sucker from falling! I cant believe it has been 3 months already! he is growing so big and fast!

Look At these thighs! I cant help but give a little pinch everyday! he now weighs 13 POUNDS! he is such a good baby, he usually will sleep at least 6-8 hours in the night! HALLELUJAH!!! So i guess we'll keep him?

The Drool Miester

Ok, Here's a question to all you Mom's out there. Why the drooling! I dont remember Milo drooling at all, when he was a baby! and this little guy is just spilling all over the place! It's crazy! So my question is WHY? what causes a almost 3 Month old baby to just start this messy habit? and most of all... How Do I Stop it!

He is constantly "blowing bubbles" it's even making his chin all chappy!

Is this Normal????
