Flashback Friday!

The First Car I Ever Purchased Was....

So, for those of you who cant tell, that is Russ, back in the old days with his super mc'dreamy long hair! If russ were telling about his car, he would have all sorts of mechanical lingo.....but to me it's just a Bitchin' Camaro! But what I do know is he loved this car! he still talks about it all the time, and I even catch him once in a while looking at them on craigslist like he is acttaully going to buy one again! ya, good luck fitting two car seats in that!

Next, we have my first car I bought, The Plymouth Laser! (and yes those are hubcaps!) I was so excited to buy this car! I thought (at the time) it was the coolest car in the world! I was obsesed with keeping it clean! But I do have to admit it was fast! I even got it to go 12omph (sorry mom!) well all good things come to an end, we sold it to move to Hawaii..not to bad of a trade. And as far as Russ' Rockin Camaro, well the picture below tells it all......

Thats what you get when you show off for your friends!
What was your First car?

look at those t-tops...nothing says "this car rocks" like t-tops...
16-inch alloy wheels (those where big wheels back then)...
posi-traction...
forged pistons...
edelbrock intake...
holley dubble-pumper carburetor...
balanced and blue printed engine...
it's a thing of beauty!

OOOOHHHHH! The Laser! Remember when you hit that pothole on the freeway right after you got it and one of your awesome hubcaps flew off? Good times....
I am offically addicted to finding blogs. Thanks.

Cool. My brother has a Camaro. I know nothing, but I'm sure if he reads the "specs" from Russ, he will know every word. Oh, by the way, my first car was a rusty light blue Datsun 210. I paid $500 for it. The interior ceiling was completely ripped out, so you could see the metal roof from the inside. It was a stick shift, but you almost didn't even have to push the clutch in to shift. Good times.

I seem to remember an entire lesson in Elders Quorum based on that "Bitchin' Camero". Russ even included visual aids (although no log-hair pictures, unfortunately).

Love the car pictures, too funny. But the sports cars are all over my head. I was a truck girl from the beginning.

Milo's little girlfriend is adorable. He sure does seem smitten! I don't know what I'll do if Ashton ever did that, I don't think I could keep a straight face.

Hi!! Look what I did! I started a blog!! I even made a little dedication to you on my page. he he he.. But I don't know how to do anything on here! Anyway, I know you really wrote that about you're car, don't lie =) and I don't know if Russ remembers but I won a photo contest in school from a picture I took of his crashed camaro!

It was also a Gospel Essentials lesson as well. My first car was a 1980 VW Rabbit. A hand-me-down of sorts, but I loved it. Legally seating 4, we usually crammed 6 driving from seminary to high school. Powder blue interior. I think I'm starting to salivate. And ha! to Erin - My brother's first ride was the Datsun. Small world. You don't see those around anymore.

That was so painful to read. I remember that car like it was yesterday. Paul and I were so jealous ! I sure hope there isn't going to be a "bear" blog on here, I don't know if I could handle it.
